A new leak about Yumemizuki Mizuki’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.4 has emerged and while a new 5-star character always sounds like good news, this upcoming unit may be completely skippable. The action RPG by HoYoverse is at the very start of Version 5.3, a massive update that brought forth the final pieces of the Natlan Archon Quests and introduced four new playable characters. Among them are the Pyro Traveler, Citlali, Lan Yan, and Mavuika in Genshin Impact. Even though players are focused on the current patch, some attention is shifting toward the next update for the game.
This is because the Version 5.4 beta tests have started. With them, a lot of information about the upcoming patch is starting to get leaked. Even before that, there had already been some rumors talking about a new Inazuma character in Version 5.4, which has now practically been confirmed by the leaks. Most recently, there has been a series of leaks highlighting a new free event weapon in Genshin Impact 5.4 and, despite how exciting it may seem, it may be capped in a strange way. Now, some of the leaks are focusing on Yumemizuki Mizuki, a brand-new character.
Yumemizuki Mizuki Has Been Leaked For Genshin Impact 5.4 Following Leaks
The Character Had Been Leaked As Kimitsuki Ayano
Yumemizuki Mizuki had already been leaked as the new Inazuma character for Version 5.4, but only a few details about her were known. In fact, she was originally believed to be called Kimitsuki Ayano. This belief remained for a while, even after HoYoverse teased the new characters in Genshin Impact in 2025 through a series of silhouettes. In total, the developer showed seven silhouettes, one of which was believed to be Kimitsuki Ayano. With the start of the Version 5.4 beta tests, this was confirmed, but it was also revealed that her true name is Yumemizuki Mizuki.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks Hint At The Most Promising Rerun In Ages
A much-needed and long-awaited rerun character has been leaked for Genshin Impact 5.4, which may finally resolve an ongoing banner issue.
As seen in leaked footage showcasing Mizuki’s animations in the Version 5.4 beta tests, the rumored character wears a light pink yukata with white and purple accessories. She has light blue hair and purple eyes and wears an adornment on her head. Most importantly, she has an Anemo Vision, and this is made explicit by her ability to levitate. Her entire set of animations was shared in a post on Reddit. The footage allows players to better understand her design and how she will look on the field, but Mizuki’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.4 has also allegedly leaked.
Yumemizuki Mizuki’s Leaked Kit In Genshin Impact 5.4 Shows She’s An EM Healer
The Leaks Also Support The Idea That She Is A Swirl DPS
While the Reddit post highlighted footage of her animations, Mizuki’s entry on Honey Hunter World details all of the character’s specificities, including how each of her abilities works. The page shows that the character’s sub-stat is Elemental Mastery and that players can reach 115.2 EM by taking Mizuki to level 90. As a leaked catalyst user, Mizuki’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks regularly deal Anemo DMG to opponents she targets as opposed to Physical DMG if she used any other weapon type in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Snezhnaya Release Date Predictions (Based On Past Updates)
Snezhnaya may be the next major region in Genshin Impact and based on the game’s history, it’s possible to predict the Nation of Cryo’s release date.
According to Honey Hunter World, Yumemizuki Mizuki’s Elemental Skill puts her in the Dreamdrifter state, represented by her floating above the ground, and deals one instance of AoE (area of effect) Anemo DMG to nearby enemies. In the Dreamdrifter state, Mizuki is said to deal AoE Anemo DMG to enemies at regular intervals. Additionally, Dreamdrifter increases the Swirl DMG that nearby party members deal based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery stat. The Dreamdrifter state ends when the Anemo character in Genshin Impact leaves the field or uses her Elemental Skill again.
With her leaked Elemental Burst, Mizuki deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents and summons Mini Baku. It will follow the active character and at regular intervals, create a Yumemikaze Specialty Snack on the field. When the active character picks up the Snack, if their HP is higher than 70%, the Snack explodes and deals one instance of AoE Anemo DMG to enemies. If their HP is 70% or lower, the character who picked up the Snack is healed based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery. If the Snack isn’t picked up, it explodes, dealing AoE Anemo DMG to enemies in Genshin Impact.
Based on the leaks about Mizuki’s kit, Elemental Mastery should dictate the largest portion of her abilities’ performances, so this is the stat that players will need to upgrade when building her if nothing changes from the beta tests to her final release.
One of her leaked passive skills states that when Mizuki triggers a Swirl reaction while in the Dreamdrifter state, the duration of Dreamdrifter is extended by 2.5 seconds. This effect can be triggered once every second for up to two times per Dreamdrifter state. Her other passive says that when she is in the Dreamdrifter state and her allies hit opponents with Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, or Electro attacks, her Elemental Mastery is increased by 100 for four seconds. Her last passive gives allies a chance to recover 30% extra HP when using healing foods with Mizuki in the team comp.
Yumemizuki Mizuki Seems Like A Below-Average Character In Genshin Impact 5.4
The Leaked Character’s Kit Seems Wonky
Aside from having fairly unremarkable animations based on the leaked footage, Mizuki’s leaked gameplay kit is also somewhat messy. Mizuki seems to be a healer, an enabler, and a damage dealer, all at once, and that type of multi-faceted approach has already been proven to be unreliable – Baizhu in Genshin Impact is the perfect example of a character that tries to do a bit of everything. Mizuki could be a Swirl-based support for team comps, increasing the power of Swirl reactions, but her Dreamdrifter state, which grants that buff, ends when she leaves the field.

Genshin Impact Character Leaks Show Skirk May Save The Meta (But Don’t Believe Them Just Yet)
Following her teaser as a playable character in Genshin Impact, new information about Skirk has emerged and it seems promising for the game’s meta.
As such, she is the one who needs to trigger Swirl while on the field for this to make sense. This could make her a DPS unit, especially considering that her Elemental Mastery is increased when allies’ attacks hit opponents, but her leaked Burst also has a weird healing mechanic that could set back the team’s damage output. Alternatively, Mizuki could be thought of as a Burst healer like Bennett in Genshin Impact, but then her offensive abilities would mostly go to waste since her Dreamdrifter state requires her to be on the field.
For now, the way Mizuki’s leaked kit is worded and plays out seems extremely wonky. What could otherwise be interpreted as versatility, the character’s role leans into something unstable and uncertain. For now, of course, these leaks should be considered with caution, as a lot can change over the course of the beta tests. Mizuki’s kit could be fine-tuned into a specific role, or her Dreamdrifter state’s effects could carry on to work off-field, for example. For now, players only need to wait, but Mizuki seems like a skippable character, which comes as great news for those waiting for Skirk’s release in Genshin Impact.
