Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is back in football management after he was confirmed as Besiktas’ new head coach.
The former Manchester United boss has put pen to paper on an 18-month contract with the Turkish Super Lig side, with the option of extending the deal for the 2026-27 season.
It is the 51-year-old’s first managerial position since his departure from Old Trafford in November 2021, as he replaces Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who left in November, at Tupras Stadyumu.
Solskjaer takes over with Besiktas sixth in the Turkish Super Lig table – 21 points adrift of leaders Galatasaray – ahead of facing Samsunspor on Saturday.
“We believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make significant contributions to our club, and we warmly welcome him to the Besiktas family, wishing him great success,” the Istanbul club said.
O artık bir kara kartal.
