Randal Kolo Muani completes PSG loan exit

Juventus have announced completion of a loan deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

Even with Kylian Mbappe leaving PSG last summer, Kolo Muani has struggled for minutes and has barely featured for the Ligue 1 champions since September.

Juventus have paid an initial loan fee of €1m, which could rise by a further €2m depending on various performance-based conditions. Additional costs of €2.6m have also been confirmed.

Kolo Muani started to make his name at Nantes, followed by a move to Eintracht Frankfurt as a free agent in 2022. A breakout season in Germany, during which he was also part of France’s World Cup squad in Qatar, soon prompted PSG to pay upwards of €80m.

But Kolo Muani’s rapid rise hit the bricks back in France. He managed only nine goals across 40 appearances in all competitions last season and has only two to his name in the current campaign.

There had been tentative links with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The latter was reported to have made an offer in the days before Juve agreed a deal with PSG, while there was additional Premier League interest from Aston Villa, West Ham United and Everton.

In recent days, existing Juventus front-man Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a possible exit. Chelsea are the side most heavily linked with the Serbia international amid Christopher Nkunku being made available for transfer, which speculation is growing that Arsenal could resurrect interest.
