Donald Trump officially became the 47th President of the United States following the inauguration ceremony on January 20. However, the occasion was not uneventful, as popular YouTuber Logan Paul apparently pulled a chair prank on Theo Von, as per the stand-up comedian himself. The scuffle between the two media personalities has since gone viral on the internet, amassing millions of views on social media. But what actually transpired between the duo?
Here’s everything you need to know regarding the scuffle between Logan Paul and Theo Von.
Logan Paul and Theo Von chair prank explained
Theo Von and Logan Paul were among many celebrities who attended Trump’s inauguration on Monday. Von was seated right in front of the influencer-cum-wrestler, who was accompanied by his younger brother, Jake Paul. However, when Von proceeded to take his seat, his chair ended up crumbling, causing the This Past Weekend podcast host to fall.
Incidentally, Logan Paul caught the entire act on camera, leading Theo Von to assume that the YouTuber had orchestrated the chair prank. Consequently, he shunned the Paul brothers on the internet for their alleged misdemeanor, stating that it “wasn’t an accident. Paul kids thought it was [funny] to mess with the chair. There’s a time and a place ya know,” as per The Independent.
Nevertheless, Theo Von has since come out to admit that he might have reacted prematurely and issued an apology to Logan and Jake Paul for blaming them for the supposed chair prank. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Von conveyed, “Spoke to Logan Paul this morning and believe now I was wrong abt the chair carnage being bc of anything they did. I coulda communicated better/not listened to ops. My apologies to the Pauls.” Logan then reverted Von’s compassionate gesture by posting “Respect to Theo” on his X profile.
The Paul brothers captured the limelight for the second time in a separate incident at Trump’s Starlight Ball later that evening. At the event, Jake Paul jokingly lifted legendary boxer Mike Tyson on his shoulders, resulting in a playful reaction from the attending guests.
