‘Tis the season to be Jeff the Land Shark in Marvel Rivals, as Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival has officially begun. Jeff has made waves since the game launched earlier this month, being deemed one of the cutest and most meme-worthy Hero within the title. While some players can’t get enough of the sweet and cuddly shark with feet, others feel his ultimate might be a bit broken.
The Winter Celebration event went live earlier this morning, and with it comes a plethora of free rewards, paid costumes, and more. Jeff the Land Shark is the center of attention during the entirety of this event, as a limited-time 4v4 game mode brings the bubble-blowing apex predator to the forefront in a very different way than most players expected.

While the Winter Celebration has just begun, the hype around the event is already there. The trailer for the event surfaced three days ago, showcasing the new costumes and Jeff in all of his bubble-blasting glory. The event is a bit shocking, as the 4v4 mode is really only a Jeff versus Jeff mode. Players will be sent to the same map, YGGSGARD: Royal Palace, and will duke it out by spraying ice all over the map to decorate it.

NetEase has announced a winter celebration in Marvel Rivals that brings the ‘goodest’ boy to the forefront, as Jeff the Landshark makes waves.
The bar at the top of the screen shows a percentage, and whichever team of Jeff’s covers more of the map than the other takes home an epic victory. While that may sound like a simple task, almost like playing Splatoon, players will soon be humbled by the constant sound of Jeff’s ultimate ability around the map, never knowing if they are the ones about to be swallowed and spit out over the edge.

Fans Can Get This New Jeff Costume For Free In Marvel Rivals
There are several rewards to be earned throughout the event, but the most coveted is most likely the free Jeff The Land Shark costume. The Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume can be earned by completing milestones, and reaching each of these milestones also rewards players with gifts. There are plenty of other rewards to claim that aren’t just centered around Jeff, but these all appear to be paid costumes and sprays. Rocket Raccoon and Groot are a part of the Best Winter Buds Bundle that is currently available, which comes with one costume per Hero, several sprays, emotes, and nameplates.
This is the first event in Marvel Rivals since its launch, and Jeff being the main character within the event is a true testament to how popular the Predator of the Deep has become in such a short time. It will be interesting to see which heroes in Marvel Rivals become more popular over time, but for now, players can take on four other Jeffs in the limited-time game mode and enjoy spitting them off the edge of the map for 19 more days.
