Some of the strongest Pokémon you could use to counter the Ke Ke Ke Ke Grunt’s team are:
- Tyranitar
- Garchomp
- Gardevoir
Undeniably, Tyranitar is the best Pokémon to use against Team Ke Ke Ke Ke, as its Dark and Rock-type attacks counter nearly everything the Team Rocket Grunt uses. The only Pokémon Tyranitar doesn’t counter is Shadow Sableye, who also shares a Dark typing. This is why you should also bring Gardevoir, whose Fairy-type attacks can make short work of that Pokémon should they appear in the second wave.
Gardevoir is a Psychic-type as well as a Fairy-type Pokémon, allowing them to counter Team Ke Ke Ke Ke’s Shadow Gengar too if they show up in the third phase of the battle.
Garchomp is another great Pokémon to use against the Ke Ke Ke Ke Grunt due to how it also shares some counters with Tyranitar. While Shadow Froslass can deal super-effective damage to Garchomp, your other team members should have the ability to counter Froslass if they appear. While it may seem tempting to bring other Ghost-types to this battle, remember that Ghost-types counter each other, making them risky to use.
