This first Narnia book paved the way for the saga soon to be adapted by Gerwig, and taking inspiration from one Cavill-led high fantasy classic could elevate the whole series.

Starring alongside a future Narnia hero, Cavill’s supporting antagonist role in Stardust made him look like a good fit for Miraz, or another role outside his normal hero territory. Cavill has done morally ambivalent roles before, but Narnia could be a big break in demonstrating his versatility.
