Thaís Ramone and Patrick Mendes from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? have made great progress in their relationship since season 8 ended. Patrick and Thaís were first seen in 90 Day Fiancé season 9. They had met in Brazil when Patrick was meeting his father and wished to learn Portuguese. He approached Thaís on a dating app but fell for the tall and gorgeous Brazilian model Thaís instead. Patrick suggested Thaís was a jealous person who tracked his location. Thaís had also not informed her father that she was going to the U.S. to marry Patrick.
Thaís and Patrick married in the finale, and she quickly became pregnant with their first baby. Thaís got a chance to fly to Brazil to meet her family on HEA season 8. It was also an opportunity for Patrick to mend his relationship with his own father and Thaís’ father as well. The season had a positive ending for Thaís and Patrick’s storyline. They proved they are one of the least problematic couples in the franchise among the recent crop of new cast members who value online clout over long-lasting relationships.
Patrick Made It Back To The Gym After Major Injury
Patrick Is Feeling Fit & Fine
During their first scene in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8, Thaís walked up to Patrick while he was playing with their six-month-old daughter Aleesi. Thaís asked Patrick to slow down because she feared he was going to blow his knee out again. Patrick was playing flag football when there was a “play” which felt like a “hammer” had hit him in the knee. He was not able to bend it yet but was able to lift his leg up and down while wincing with pain. Surgery was the only way Patrick’s knee could be fixed.

Thaís confessed that Patrick getting hurt made her feel angry because she had a feeling he was going to get hurt from playing flag football. Patrick yelled that he used to be a competitive weightlifter. Thaís used to ask Patrick to be careful when he went to play flag football on Sundays. Patrick’s injury was going to affect their upcoming trip to Brazil. In August 2024, Patrick posted a video of him at the gym, doing deadlifts.
“I’ve missed this so much!!!”
Patrick had been back at the gym for a month and was already making great progress. He has been steadily able to progress his strength. Patrick had started at “60kg/132lb snatches and comfortably snatched 100kg/220lb” with no pain. His squat was back on “way up from 130kg/286lbs to 405lb.” Patrick asked his fans to stay tuned to see more of his fitness progress. In the comments, when someone asked Patrick what happened, he replied, “Torn my patella tendon last year the baby knee got it’s revenge.”
Thaís Is Getting Along With John Just Fine
Thaís & Patrick Have Buried The Hatchet
Thaís had not always been able to see John eye to eye. She thought of him as a negative influence on Patrick and disliked that she had to live with John under one roof while she got married to Patrick. John moved out of his brother’s house once Patrick and Thaís relocated to Las Vegas. However, during the Tell All, Thaís directly addressed John, expressing her discomfort with his comments and asking him to be more supportive. Patrick struggled to pick between his wife and his brother, leading to Thaís breaking down in tears.
John had also been harsh towards Thaís’ friend in Brazil, but he claimed he did it because Thaís’ friend had humiliated him in public. John insisted he was respectful towards Thaís whenever he visited her, unlike what she was claiming. Thaís was accused of overreacting and trying to create unnecessary drama. It seems Thaís and Patrick were able to bury the hatchet and move on as family after the reunion, since in November 2024, they posed together along with co-stars Kim Menzies and Jamal Menzies for a group photo after the mother-son duo visited them in Vegas.

She was slammed by the fans who noticed she had edited her caption. She was accused of misleading fans for social media attention.
