Thaís Ramone and Patrick Mendes from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? have made great progress in their relationship since season 8 ended. Patrick and Thaís were first seen in 90 Day Fiancé season 9. They had met in Brazil when Patrick was meeting his father and wished to learn Portuguese. He approached Thaís on a dating app but fell for the tall and gorgeous Brazilian model Thaís instead. Patrick suggested Thaís was a jealous person who tracked his location. Thaís had also not informed her father that she was going to the U.S. to marry Patrick.

Thaís and Patrick married in the finale, and she quickly became pregnant with their first baby. Thaís got a chance to fly to Brazil to meet her family on HEA season 8. It was also an opportunity for Patrick to mend his relationship with his own father and Thaís’ father as well. The season had a positive ending for Thaís and Patrick’s storyline. They proved they are one of the least problematic couples in the franchise among the recent crop of new cast members who value online clout over long-lasting relationships.

During their first scene in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8, Thaís walked up to Patrick while he was playing with their six-month-old daughter Aleesi. Thaís asked Patrick to slow down because she feared he was going to blow his knee out again. Patrick was playing flag football when there was a “play” which felt like a “hammer” had hit him in the knee. He was not able to bend it yet but was able to lift his leg up and down while wincing with pain. Surgery was the only way Patrick’s knee could be fixed.

Thaís confessed that Patrick getting hurt made her feel angry because she had a feeling he was going to get hurt from playing flag football. Patrick yelled that he used to be a competitive weightlifter. Thaís used to ask Patrick to be careful when he went to play flag football on Sundays. Patrick’s injury was going to affect their upcoming trip to Brazil. In August 2024, Patrick posted a video of him at the gym, doing deadlifts.

Patrick had started at “60kg/132lb snatches and comfortably snatched 100kg/220lb” with no pain.
