He went on to note that Hillerman’s source material is composed of a staggering 18 volumes, meaning there’s plenty to draw from where Leaphorn and Chee are concerned.
Though news was somewhat slow during the show’s offseason, it was eventually revealed that the dark neo-Western will return on March 9, 2025. The third outing will be composed of 8 episodes which will air weekly on AMC. This is two more than the previous seasons, which only featured 6 episodes each. No reason for the show’s expansion has been given, but this implies that season 3’s story will be supersized.
