The clash between Benfica and Barcelona on Wednesday in Lisbon had it all – quality, spirit, excitement, controversy, and even some crazy moments.
Vangelis Pavlidis scored a hat-trick for the home side within 30 minutes (2′, 22′ 30′), with Robert Lewandowski’s well-taken penalty (13′) giving the Catalans some home for the second half. Raphinha then scored this goal in the 64th, though it’s debatable whether it should be called scoring, to make it 3-2.

An own-goal from Ronald Araujo restored Benfica’s two-goal lead (68′), but another Lewandowski penalty (78′), a goal from Eric Garcia (86′), and another by Raphinha (90+6′) swung the scoreline in Barcelona’s favour, with the game finishing 4-5 for the La Liga giants.
