According to multiple sources, Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has reached a full agreement with Aston Villa over a potential transfer to Villa Park, and now it’s up to the two clubs to find an agreement over the size and structure of the transfer fee.
Aston Villa are going through a severe injury crisis in the centre-back department, with three out of their total of four players in the position out and not expected back very soon. The only option available to manager Unai Emery at the moment is Ezri Konsa, as Tyrone Mings left the pitch injured only 38 minutes into the 1-1 draw against West Ham on Sunday. Kourtney Hause is yet to make an appearance this season, and Pau Torres has suffered a metatarsal fracture.
Meanwhile, Disasi isn’t getting much playing time at Chelsea, with manager Enzo Maresca obviously preferring the likes of Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Trevoh Chalobah. He has made only six appearances in the Premier League this season, and was occasionally left out of the matchday squad completely.
