After the announcement of the new voice actor for Franky, a message from the series author, Eiichiro Oda, was read to the audience, which included some great news.
Eiichiro Oda has announced that a new One Piece movie will be coming soon. While details are still unclear, it’s safe to expect for the new movie to drop in 2025.

During the live stream of the One Piece panel on the Jump Festa YouTube channel, Mayumi Tanaka, Luffy’s voice actor, read a message from Eiichiro Oda, as is customary every year. After thanking Kazuki Yao, the retiring Franky voice actor, for many years of service, and welcoming the new actor, Subaru Kimura, Oda also talked about what fans can expect from the franchise in 2025. The biggest news is, perhaps, that a new movie will be coming “soon”.
One Piece Film: Red, the latest cinematic installment in the franchise, made waves for being perhaps the most critically acclaimed movie in the long history of the franchise, and for Oda’s direct involvement in its production. With an anime remake coming, the second season of the live-action show wrapped, and of course more exciting developments happening in the manga, it will be interesting to see what the new One Piece movie will be about.
