Match Preview
Liverpool will hope to record their second win over Brighton in four days tomorrow and maintain the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Arne Slot’s men triumphed 3-2 on the south coast on Wednesday evening in the EFL Cup with Cody Gakpo scoring twice.
That result followed a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Arsenal last weekend.
Slot said: “In football we are used to playing the same team [again] after a few days. Both teams didn’t start [on Wednesday] with the same team they will start with on Saturday. I think for both managers it is a positive thing because you know a little bit more about the opponent.”
Liverpool are second in the table, a point behind City.
Brighton are sixth and in good form themselves having lost just once in the league this season.
